Cast Resin Coils
This is a dry transformer type using epoxy that covers the windings to insulate and protect the ecosystem. Even in dust and humid conditions it protects the transformer materials.
Sturdy Volt makes cast Resin Coils up to 5000 KVA of 33 kV Class. The material section is done by a computerized system. The class of insulation level is ‘F‘ & ‘H‘ .It is manufactured as per IS:2026 PART – 12 DRY TRANSFORMERS standards. To make the product the team uses Resin and Hardener of the HUNTSMAN make. The Hedrich brand automated mixer is used for precise mixing.
The casting process is performed in a vacuum using Hedrich German technology. Special equipment and molds are required to cast the coils in the vacuum condition.
We have 2 Hedrich casting machines, each for H & F class production of CRT coils. One of its salient features is the interleaved
tapping arrangement. It can be made per customer brief as well. The demand for this type is increasing globally as it is safer to use.

Tests
Cast Resin coils are widely used and are known for easy installations. Transformers get stressed due to overload, over-voltage conditions, pollution or even particle deposits. Sometimes the installation is done under severe conditions and cable connections are naked or too close. These conditions lead to deterioration and PD inception.
